Diary 2016.06.02

No substantive gardening today.  It was a running day - and quite a lovely day for a run: sunny, in the 70s, not too hot.

So I only documented a few things.

Need to identify this flower - will call it a pink pop'em for now; in full bloom now.  Note bud in background.

More less mature pink pop'em buds.

Daylily buds getting ready to bloom.

Daylily on the cusp.

The one hydrangea with buds this year.

Honeysuckle in early bloom.  Looking east.

The honeysuckle trellis.  Farther north in the background.

Honeysuckle - also looking east.

Dianthus - on the cusp of bloom.

Look closely - more dianthus buds.

Catmint close-up - albeit a bit blurry.

Catmint in context.  I rather like the green chairs as a contrasting backdrop.

The newer clematis.  View from above, camera held overhead.  A gambling shot.

Older clematis bloom in foreground.

Look closely - clematis bud among the leaves; tried to coax it above them for more sun.

Blackberry flowers, and it looks like some fruit may be starting to form.

Mandavilla - renewed attempt to make it take root.

Teeny possible alyssum plant.  Not sure, but we'll leave it for now.

And, finally, one of our bluejay friends!
